I am a candidate for the great city of Snellville, Georgia City Council. This journey began with a simple yet profound idea, driven by my passion for our community. As a committed council member, I will focus on every aspect of city governance with personal attention and dedication. Our mission is grounded in quality and integrity, ensuring that our actions consistently reflect a commitment to excellence for the residents of Snellville.
Priorities
Community Engagement
Leaders in Georgia, including Senator Warnock, are actively backing our initiatives to boost Snellville's attractiveness for viable business opportunities and to establish it as a sought-after residential area.
Urban Development
Snellville is a great place to live for some but not for all. I will represent all the citizens of Snellville.
I am committed to diligently maintaining the cleanliness of Snellville's parks and recreational areas, ensuring that they remain an attractive and welcoming environment for residents.
Fiscal Responsibility
I will work hard to attract good businesses and well-paying jobs to Main Street and throughout Snellville. I seek your support in this endeavor. We can do this.
Dan Russell a new voice for Snellville
Dan W. Russell is the founder, former CEO, and President of Russell & Associates, LLC, based in Snellville, a venture he established following his retirement in 2015. He brings with him four decades of senior-level experience in finance across various sectors, including the private sector, municipal government, and the healthcare industry. He holds a degree in Accounting from Saint Thomas University in Miami, Florida, and furthered his education by attending Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a Master of Business Administration, as well as earning an Executive Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. Additionally, Mr. Russell served honorably in the United States Air Force for four years before being discharged. He is actively involved in several non-profit organizations, including the Martin Luther King Sr. Community Resources Collaborative of Atlanta. Georgia. He also is the Treasurer for the Olde Hickory Village Homeowners Association in Snellville, Georgia. A dedicated member of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Mr. Russell has contributed significantly by serving on the boards of Deacons and Trustees, as well as holding the position of church treasurer for many years. He is married to Daisy M. Russell and is the proud father of three adult children and grandfather to three cherished grandchildren.
